I have no words

. . .except for these: the folks at this protest are bigots and racists, plain and simple. Even worse, some of them are elected (Republican) reps, one of whom made death threats against the Muslim families attending this charity event.

Please spread the word of these protesters' and representatives' hateful wrongdoing.

This brings tears to my eyes... I can't even tell you how appalled... how truly appalled I am at the ignorance, hate, racism....

What makes it even more galling is that it's in Southern California. Yes, parts of OC are very white, but Southern California is very diverse. It's therefore likely that many of the protesters were, during their school years at least, surrounded by people who didn't resemble their own families.

Sorry to be posting it here, but I can't find your email address at the moment.

I'm listening to Kathryn Stockton present at the New Majorities, Shifting Priorities conference and she's talking about being a seducer, part of a team of seducers at the University of Utah Gender Studies Program. She finds her calling as a missionary to the missionaries, calling to students and saying, "Come over here. You won't believe how fascinating our ideas are, and how much you're going to love the way we make you feel uncomfortable."

I thought of you.

That is some high-quality stupidity at work. I give it an 8.6.
