I just want to take a moment to thank Gap for their new "boyfriend"-cut jeans. (Their actual name is "straight boyfriend," which cracks me up. God forbid we wear "gay boyfriend" jeans.) The Gap's low-rise jeans have never fit me--although they don't fit many of my undergrads either, and while they seem to have no problem bulging out all over, I'm not about to share my stretch marks with the world. Since I have trouble finding jeans that fit from other brands, I've been stuck in Gap's original cut for awhile. While the original cut is comfy, it's a bit too "mom jeans" for me.
Anyway, the boyfriend jeans are terrific. If you're a bit paunchy like I am but don't want to wear jeans that come up to your ribcage, I recommend these. Best of all, I fit into my pre-pregnancy size in these jeans, which perks up the ol' self-esteem a bit. And if you're a bit on the tall side, like I am, you can also get this style in "long."
Woohoo!

I'll have to try those out! I got one of those clownfish bags for my sister and she says it's just as cool as it looks in the picture. Thanks for the tips.
Oh, I agree! I found the Boyfriend jeans recently as well. They are hip, but not so trendy that I can't drag the kids to the grocery store in them!
Perhaps the "gay boyfriend" jeans are on the mens side of the store? Just a thought....
:)
When I can wear jeans without elastic anymore, I look forward to trying these on. I don't watch SNL, but that Mom jeans clip was hilarious!
If you're looking for something a little different try www.zafu.com, a website which asks you a few questions about your body and fit issues with jeans and then makes personalized recommendations for jeans that fit you. I got some of my favorite jeans in their recommendations, it really works and I also got a bunch of new brands and styles I've never tried before. Now I'm ready to go shopping!
