UPDATE: I was incorrect about the temperature. To borrow from Spinal Tap, this city goes to (one hundred) ELEVEN. Fortunately, today it's only supposed to be 103.
Just a quick post to say that it was 110 degrees here today, and now, at 11 p.m., it's still 92 degrees. Thank goodness for air conditioning.
I hope everyone else has been able to stay cool, too.

Wow! I just did the Fahrenheit to Celsius converter and discovered that it was 43 degrees there, which is ridiculous (although the same temperature that it was in Saskatchewan the day after we left -- Praise the Lord for good timing in leaving the province).
It was 32C/89F in Victoria when we arrived, and you would've thought that it was 500 degrees, the way people are acting. (Of course, this is the city where you never normally get real summer weather.) Everyone's sunburnt and the lawns are are brown.
oooh, I'm in CA too and last night my apartment must have been 100 degrees. I'm not kidding. I have no air conditioning (obviously) so that means I have to use fans, which, when it's that hot feel like hair dryers blowing in your face. I actually called a friend at midnight and asked if I could sleep on her couch. When I got home this AM, the apartment had cooled off to 90 degrees. I spent 5 minutes to feed the cats and shower and got right back out of that hell hole. Yikes! When will this heat wave be over?
